Edina Fall Baseball provides an opportunity for players entering Grades 2 – 6 to gain additional experience through an Edina Fall League.   The season runs from August 28th through October 8th with a final tournament the weekend of October 7th.  Don’t miss the fun!  Space is LIMITED and the programs fill up fast.  Registration will close for each program as it is filled or by August 13th.  Players must be Edina residents and/or attend school in Edina.  There is separate information for grades 7- 9 (see bottom of page).

2nd/3rd Grade Division: Kids entering 2nd and 3rd grade will play together and continue to work on baseball fundamentals in this coach pitch league.   The general rule is that the 2nd/3rd grade division will play Mondays & Saturdays.  Practices and games scheduled during the week take place in the evenings, and practices and games scheduled on the weekend are played during the day.  The games will be played in a House League and called by an umpire.  The final weekend will be capped off with a Fall Tournament the weekend of October 7th.  No standings will be kept.

4th Grade Division: Kids entering 4th grade will work on skill development in this combination kid pitch/coach pitch league.  This additional training can build their confidence and improve the level of play for the EBA's green league if desired.  The general rule is that the 4th grade will play on Thursdays & Sundays.  Practices and games scheduled during the week take place in the evenings, and practices and games scheduled on the weekend are played during the day.  The games will be played in a House League and called by a paid umpire.  The final weekend will be capped off with a Fall Tournament the weekend of October 7th.  No standings will be kept.

5th/6th Grade Division: Kids entering 5th/6th grade will work on more advanced skill development in this kid pitch league.  This additional training can build their confidence and improve the level of play for the EBA's green league if desired.  The general rule is that the 5th/6th grade will play on Tuesdays & Sundays.  Coaches do have the option to schedule more practices once the season starts. Practices and games scheduled during the week take place in the evenings, and practices and games scheduled on the weekend are played during the day.  The games will be played in a House League and called by a paid umpire.  The final weekend will be capped off with a Fall Tournament the weekend of October 7th.  No standings will be kept.

Teams will be assigned by the league based upon such factors as schools, experience level, and balancing the teams. There will not be a draft.  Mutual play-together requests will be considered but are limited to 1 request per player.

We need coaches - if you are interested in coaching your child’s team, please register under the REGISTER ONLINE tab.

For program success, we are actively seeking parent coaches for each of the three divisions.  We will be trying to staff each team with 2-3 coaches.  An ideal situation would be for each team to have one head coach, and 1-2 assistant coaches.  If you don’t want to take on a head coaching position, you may sign up to be an assistant coach.
All players will be provided with a hat & t-shirt. Trophies will be awarded to the top 2 teams of each division at the conclusion of the Fall Tournament in October.
Each division will have a limited number of players. Registration opens on July 8th.  Registration will close for each program as it is filled or by August 13th at the latest.  No exceptions for late registrations.

Cost for all divisions $120.

7th - 9th Grade Division:
For 7th-9th graders, we suggest that you take advantage of established fall leagues: Metro Baseball www.mbl.bz or Gopher State www.myas.org
You can organize yourselves into a group to be placed on a team or form an entire team.
